James Bruce “Jim” Ollanketo

James Bruce “Jim” Ollanketo, age 81, born January 28, 1940, in Marengo, WI died from dementia and Parkinson’s disease on July 9, 2021, at The Manor of Kenosha. Jim worked for many years at Chrysler Corporation until his retirement in 2001. He was a Hydraulic Repair Tech in the skilled trades.

         He was preceded in death by, his parents, George and Aina (Hannula) Ollanketo; 12 siblings, Gladys Miller, Margaret Hepokoski, Elden Ollanketo, Beatrice Wuollet, Raymond Ollanketo, Delores Kyllonen, Paul Ollanketo, Thomas Ollanketo, Clifford Ollanketo, Rudolph “Rudy” Ollanketo and two brothers in infancy, Valentino and Wilbur Ollanketo.

       Jim is survived by, his wife of 46 years, Priscilla (Johnson) Ollanketo; five children, Joan and (Tom) Dorlack, Randall (Patricia) Ollanketo, Scott (Dangelis) Ollanketo, Roger (Heather) Ollanketo and William (Kelly) Ollanketo; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy Sorenson, Jennifer (Tyler) Oehlers, Erica (Chris) Lopez, Stefanie Ollanketo, Kevin Ollanketo, Kyle Ollanketo, Ashleigh Ollanketo, Austin Ollanketo, Sebastian Ollanketo, Sophia Ollanketo, Soren Ollanketo and Jax Ollanketo; five great grandchildren, Shayin, Patum and Shyler Sorenson, and Derek and Austin Oehlers; three siblings, Darlene (Frank) Carlson, Katherine Nevala and Judy (Mark) Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Edna Mae Ollanketo, Bernice Ollanketo, Dorothy Ollanketo and Ruth Ollanketo; two brothers-in-law, Buddy Kyllonen and Allyn (Bev) Leppala; former wife, Marge (George) Yarber as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.

          Funeral services for Jim will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church (6721 -156th Avenue) with interment to follow at Bristol-Paris Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
