Irene R. Langevin (1932-2013)

IRENE R. LANGEVIN (nee:  LANGE)

On the evening of August 27, 2013, Irene passed away peacefully, with her son Daniel at her side, ending her three year battle with cancer at the age of 81.

Irene was born in Chicago to John and Rose (Beuschlein) Lange on May 11, 1932.  In 1965, she was united in marriage to Eugene J. Langevin.

Irene is survived by her three children:  Daniel Langevin of Kenosha, WI; John (Sue) Blizzard of Sheperd, Michigan; and Kathy (Paul) Defries of Bridgeview, Illinois.  She also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.

Irene had requested cremation and no traditional funeral/wake.  Instead a graveside memorial service and internment of ashes will be held at Bethania Cemetery, 7701 Archer Avenue, Justice, Illinois on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00am.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Rocco and staff, Dr. Syed Haider and staff, and all of the employees of Grande Prairie Health and Rehab for their dedicated and compassionate care of Irene.
