Gregory Allan Sell

Gregory Allan Sell, age 71 of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away on April 21st, 2025.

Born on July 31st, 1953 in Racine, Wisconsin to Arthur and Genevieve, Greg graduated from Washington Park High School and later served in the United States Air Force. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and was a maintenance mechanic for over 35 years.

Greg was a devoted husband to Kathleen for 34 years and a loving father to Marty, Katie and Ryan. He was a man of few words, but showed his love to his family through his actions. He would do anything to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever he could. His family meant the world to him and was his greatest pride and joy in life. They will fondly remember him by his trademark greeting at the door: “What up buuuuud?!”

Before he was a family man, Greg had a penchant for cool cars, high-end hi-fi audio gear and was an early adopter of home computing. His early love of computers inspired his son, Marty. He was always behind a camera or camcorder capturing memories of those he loved.

Greg always enjoyed good company over a meal and was a regular at Tommy’s Home Run for decades. He loved watching TV—his favorite shows included M*A*S*HThe Andy Griffith Show and Judge Judy. He liked a good game of three-card poker and cribbage and had a knack for old pop culture trivia. His Pembroke Welsh Corgi Amelia (Mimi) was his best friend.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children Martin, Katie and Ryan; daughters-in-law and a son-in-law; sisters Deborah, Joy and Jean; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his best friend Terry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom; sisters Hallie, Laurie and Judith; and his beloved dogs, Amelia and Pokey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Kemper Center (6501 3rd Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143). A prayer service will follow from 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182).

Greg will be deeply missed by all who knew him. If you want to find him in your everyday life, crank some Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger or The Doobie Brothers—he loved some good old-time rock ‘n’ roll.
