Gary Roland Braun

Gary Roland Braun, age 78, of Kenosha, passed away at Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie on September 30^th, 2025. He was born on February 24^th, 1947, in Illinois to the late Roland Braun and Marie (Verhagen). He was a proud United States Marine and bravely served his country from 1966 to 1970. On November 26^th, 1983, he married Dolores Strew at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan, IL.

Gary was a lifelong member of the Marine Corps League Detachment #801 in Lake County, Illinois. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife Dolores Braun, children: Jaime Growth and Tina (Eddie) Garcia, stepchildren: Robert (Deanne) Sherwood and Robin (Steve Koetz) Sherwood, grandchildren: Jace Garcia, Daniel Garcia and Julia Koetz, niece: Sandra Druba and many other living relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: June Druba, Marlene Constantino and Donald Braun. 

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall on Friday, October 31^st, 2025, at 12 P.M. A visitation will also be held at Kemper Center from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
