Gary Kubas (1961-2013)

Gary Kubas

Gary Theodore Kubas, 51, of Paddock Lake, WI, was called home on Monday, June 3, 2013. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side after his battle with cancer.

Gary married the love of his life, Gail Rae Kubas on September 13, 1980. Their 32 years of marriage brought them much joy. Gary was a very proud father of daughter Mindy Faber, 32, (Casey) of Silver Lake, WI and his son Adam Kubas, 27, (Kate) of Twin Lakes, WI. He is survived by his mother Helen Kubas and siblings Steve, Greg, and Barb Kubas along with his lifelong best friend Bill Perterson, all from Paddock Lake, WI. We would like to also mention the countless family members and friends that have shown their love and support for our family through this time. But most precious of all, he has left behind his beautiful granddaughters; Ardyn 4, Ashlyn 2, Audrianna 2, and Haven 1, who adored their papa. Their countless fun and loving memories with him will never be forgotten.

Gary was a successful general manager for Wisconsin Allied in Milwaukee, WI. Gary was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church. His hobbies included; boating, fishing, riding ATV’s and spending time with his family at the lake.

Gary lived life by the motto, “Attitude is everything”. He left this world to the devotional quote from L.B. Cowman, from the book, Streams in the Dessert, “With Christ in my vessel, I smile at the storm.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

When I received the email yesterday, it hit me like a brick. I had no idea that Gary was sick. I will always remember the memories of when I visited your home and working with Gary when he was at Scotsman and Wisconsin Allied. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you during this time. My prayers are with you all. I’m glad that Gary knew Christ as his Savior, I know I will see him again someday and we can talk ice machines agian. I am so sorry for the loss of Gary. I attend Christ Lutheran church also and he will be missed at church by so many. He had lots of friends there that cared about him. He would bring his Mom to church and they would march almost up to the front and he would sit there with his arm around his Mom. All of the people would comment how special that was. We will miss that tender part of the two of them,
My prayers and thoughts are with all the family at this time of lossing Gary.

It was with great sadness that I read about the death of Gary. I know that the Kubas family is a strong, loving and supportive clan. It still does not take away the pain. I have fond memories of all of you as students at Central High. Please know that you have my heartfelt sympathy.
