Esther Siegel, age 94, of Barrington, IL passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at JourneyCare Care Center in Glenview, IL. Esther was born on April 24, 1924 in Chicago to Irving and Alta (Fries) Mankoff. She was married to Jack Davidove and later to Morris Siegel both who preceded her in death. Esther was a very religious woman who had great faith and was very involved in the Temple. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, swimming and shopping. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by, a sister, Josie Sandman; two husbands, Jack Davidove and Morris Siegel; her daughter, Donna Cancilleri and a grandson, Corey Davidove.
Esther is survived by, a brother, Arnold (Miriam) Mankoff of Glenview, her son, Alan (Holli) Davidove of Northbrook; five daughters, Sandi (Rene) Vega of Sherman Oaks, CA, Mary (Dan) Elenz of Nrothbrook, Tina (John) Castello of Vernon Hills, Debbie (Mike) Dusenberry of Billings, MT and Cindy (Harry) Reynolds of Barrington; 12 grandchildren, Debbie (Jim) Riding, Jeff (Suzy) Palmer, Jared, Jordyn and Brandon Davidove, Aaron Rubenstein, Rachel (Mark) Makepeace, Andrew (Helen) Castello, Elana and Jake Epstein and Zach and Abby Reiter; six great grandchildren, Mia and Corey Castello, Meagan and Jake Riding and Alyssa and Katie Palmer; her current life partner, Marty Slov as well as other family and friends.
Private services were held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with Rabbi Deena Feingold officiating.
