Donna Mae (Mattner) Stephenson

DONNA MAE (MATTNER) STEPHENSON

Born October 2, 1930, in Hartland, ND to Joseph & Lydia (Hagen) Erickson. She left this world for her Heavenly home on January 24, 2026.

She attended local schools in Harland and Carpio, ND, graduating from Carpio HS in 1948.

She married Albert Walter Mattner at Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland on October 9, 1948. Albert preceded her in death on May 17, 1997.

They moved a few times around Wisconsin, landing in Kenosha in 1950.

They had three children, Lynda (Ben) Day, Carolyn (Jeff) Wohlgemuth and Donald (Jan) Mattner.

She worked as a waitress in the early years and Warwick Mfg in Zion IL; Kenosha and Racine Blueprint; retiring from Tri-Clover/Alpha Laval after 20 years.

She was an active member of First Christian Church and the Moose Club of Kenosha.

After relocating to Carson City, NV, she married George Stephenson on September 20, 2008. George preceded her in death on December 26, 2017.

She is survived by her children; sister Deloris “Dodie” Jass; Grandchildren, Bryan Brown, Jason Hall and Heather Myres; G-Grandchildren, Austin Stromquist, Ariel Brown, Devin Hall and Calina Clay; GG-Grandchildren, Zion and Rosalie and many loved nieces and nephews.

Those that proceeded her in death, husbands, Albert and George; brother, Robert Erickson; grandson, Justin “JB” Brown; many aunts and uncles, many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Celebration of Life will be held on September 19, 2026, 300-600PM at the Kenosha Yacht Club. Family and friends are invited to attend.
