Deborah Ann Winfield (Desotell)

Born June 28th, 1962, Death September 15th, 2025

Deborah or “Debbie” as she was known to many lived a full and happy life and was taken too soon. She loved to draw and paint nature and generally just be outdoors enjoying her gardening and spending time on the water whether it was the beach or the lake. She also loved to take photos on her adventures whenever she could. She was a trusted friend and confidant to many of her friends and family as well as the first to jump and lend a hand wherever she could to make sure those she loved knew she was there if they needed her always.

She is survived by her beloved daughters Amie Judith and Kortnie Lynn (fiancé Joshua Armstrong), mother Judith Desotell, Uncle William Wolf Jr, brother Richard Desotell Jr, and father of her children Ray Winfield as well as many beloved friends and family. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Desotell Sr, grandparents Marjorie and William Wolf Sr and Ines and Milton Anderson, and much-loved cousin Kenneth Kasten.

Services will be held in honor of Debbie on Sunday, September 28th, at 2pm at Bristol Woods Park Pavilion. The family has asked if you would like to bring your favorite photo of Debbie and a favorite memory to share with the family, please do. Food to be provided, dishes to pass are welcome.

Thoughts for Deborah Ann Winfield (Desotell);

  • My condolences to the family of Debbie. She was such a kind and sweet person. I worked beside her in Customer Service for sometime. Gone to soon!

  • My prayers and condolences to Debbie’s daughters, Mother, and entire extended family. Debbie was a kind and helpful team member of our Master Data team here at AbbVie for a long time. I personally worked with Debbie on a number of projects and operational activities. She will be missed and was well liked by our team and myself.

  • Debbie was an amazing colleague and will be missed greatly. She took pride in her work, always jumping on requests and doing a phenomenal job. Debbie was always understanding and helpful when we reached out for urgent assistance. She was patient and kind when I needed her insights on a project, and she was willing to walk me through processes so we had all the information needed to make decisions. Debbie was a rockstar at her job and she was an absolutely stellar individual. We will miss having her skillset at work (it is so rare to find someone who takes the kind of pride in their work that she did), but mostly we will just miss Debbie. My deepest condolences.

  • Dear Kortnie and Amie,
    I was deeply saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.
    I had the pleasure of working closely with your mother for many years. One of my fondest memories is our work trips to the Netherlands, we shared so many laughs. I will treasure these memories always.
    She spoke of you often, and was very proud of you. It was clear how much she loved and cherished her family. She will be missed.
    Wishing you and your family comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with Debbie and her family and loved ones during this difficult time. The world needs more people like her and she will be sorely missed. She felt like family even though we mostly only worked together. She was always available to lend a hand, whether the help I needed was from her or someone else. She always pointed me in the right direction. My heart goes out to her kids and all others who loved her. I know there are many others that she touched like me.

    Debbie was a respected colleague, and more, she was a kind, supportive presence who brought warmth to every interaction. I will fondly remember her affectionate nature, our chats full of laughter, and memories of her visits to the Netherlands and vice versa, from dinners at Stevens to pizza joints we enjoyed.
