Debbra Ann Morgan

Debbra Ann Morgan, age 64, a resident of Salem Lakes, passed away August 26, 2021, at Froedtert South, in Kenosha, WI.  Debbra was born on July 30, 1957, in Fond du Lac to Robert and Doris (Pergande) Gehri.  They moved to Kenosha when she was in grade school.  She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1975.  She met the love of her life Douglas Morgan, Sr. sliding down the stairs in a moving box.  They were married on October 4, 1975. They had two children, Jessica (Morgan) Hull and Douglas Morgan, Jr.

Family was the most important part of Debbra’s life. She would go above and beyond for her family.  In addition to her dedication to her family, she was also deeply devoted to Cub Scout Pack 328, Interstate Racing Association (IRA), and Westosha Area Sports League (WASL). During the winter holidays, she looked forward to dressing as Mrs. Claus to see the joy on the kid’s faces.

Debbra was a beloved member of the Salem School District office staff.  She worked at the school for 33 years.  She dedicated her time to many school activities and events such as the PTO and volunteering for sporting events.  She had a heart of gold and always went out of her way to make sure everyone was cared for.

Debbra was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Doris.  She is survived by her husband, Douglas Morgan, Sr., her daughter, Jessica (Eric) Hull, her son, Douglas (Kaitlin) Morgan, Jr., and her grandchildren Conner, Allie, Lillian, and Henry as well as her brother, Ken (Sue) Gehri.

I saw Deb every day I worked at Salem and often when I would stop by the school after I retired. We always talked and I will miss my time with her .

  • Stacey Adams says:

    To the Morgan family,
I got to know Deb when I registered my four children for school at Salem. She was the one I would call or go to when my children needed anything, e.g. parent note, forgotten lunch, or if I knew one of my kids just needed an extra hug… she was always ready to help all of us. I have come to realize through the last 18 years that I have known her that she was to me, The Mother of Salem. She will be missed by us and so many more. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Dear Morgan Family,

The world is a better place because of Deb, this I know for certain. ❤️ Deb always welcomed me each time that I visited, and made sure that I knew that I was part of the extended family. When she wasn’t chatting about her grandkids she was chatting about Senior or her kids…the love she has for each of you is infinite and without judgement. Cherish the memories and keep Deb alive in your hearts for she is with you always and forever.

  • Deb, I will always remember the fun we had. Going out to eat after the races with you putting ketchup on your eggs!! All the IRA banquets we put our time and energy into organizing from start to finish. After the awards it was our turn to have fun, you would give me that look and off we would go to the bar, doing shots and dancing till the band stopped playing. I remember you dancing and having the raffle tickets around your neck, selling them as you danced. You scored the races back then manually on lap sheets, there were no transponders and you were so very good at it. But most of all I remember your good heart, your love for your family and friends and your willingness to help anyone and everyone. I am thankful and lucky to have known you for what seems like my whole life. I will miss you Deb. Please watch over everyone until we meet again. Love Jill

  • Margaret Payne says:

As the matriarch of the family, Deb was a life force. She was a loyal wife, loving mother and a doting grandma. Our family was particularly grateful to Deb. When our daughter Kaitlin began her relationship with Doug Jr., Deb embraced her and our granddaughter Lillian with open arms. The fabulous Deb Morgan will be missed, but she will live forever in your memories. Rest in peace Deb.

  • Deb was the Rock at Salem school-always smiling and willing to help putting her own needs aside for the children and staff. I was honored to get to know her during my years at Salem. Sending my condolences to family and friends-I hope you all find peace.

  • Marty and Melva Stockwell says:

Now we pray that you are blessed with new hands to hold as you face this most challenging transition in life. Your infectious smile will come back, and new adventures await.
