Cauleen Langenbach

Cauleen D. Langenbach, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 28, 1946, in Mauston, Wisconsin, Cauleen grew up in a lively family with 9 brothers and sisters, where she learned the value of love and togetherness that she carried throughout her life.

A longtime resident of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Cauleen was a warm and nurturing presence to everyone around her. She dedicated much of her life to raising her family as a devoted homemaker and stay-at-home mother. Over the years, she also worked at local retail stores, including K-Mart, Shopko, and Big Lots, where her kind spirit brightened the days of customers and coworkers alike.

In 1991, Cauleen married Ronald Langenbach, and they shared many happy years together until his passing in 2017. Her love for family extended to her sons, Richard Sanderson (Joannie Platt), Steven Sanderson, Jack Sanderson, and James Sanderson, all of Kenosha, as well as her step-son, Ronald Langenbach Jr. (Cindy) of Beaver Dam, his brother James and sister Diana Langenbach. Cauleen’s heart overflowed with joy for her over two dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply and delighted in seeing whenever possible.

Cauleen’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her home was a haven of laughter, stories, and the comfort of her caring presence. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Cauleen’s memory with acts of kindness, reflecting the love she so freely gave.

Thoughts for Cauleen Langenbach;

  • Holly Greisen says:

    Every word of that is absolutely true. Cauleen, my favorite sister-in-law, was always so loving and encouraging to me throughout the years. She never failed to send me a birthday card filled with loving words even though my birthday was right next to Christmas she did not choose to just say PS happy birthday. Anytime I came to her house I was warmly greeted and encouraged to sit around that famous round table and chat about whatever was in our hearts.
    She surely fulfilled the vows “for better or worse” with my brother by loving him and being faithful to him to the very end. And he loved her with all of his heart.
    I will miss her very much. My deepest sympathy to all those who loved her especially to her sons who she adored.

    We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Cauleen’s passing, and thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. This is a beautiful picture and description as I remember her hearty laughter when we would visit your house when we were quite young! We have found comfort in the scriptures and look forward to when “tears, death, and pain” will soon be gone (Revelation 21:3,4). With sincerest condolences, Cari and Shawn

    One of my favorite neighbors. Extremely kind and caring always sending me over a plate of food. I will miss her forever. I am happy that she has gone to a better place..

  • I enjoyed reading the comments above. They talked about the love Cauleen had for all those around her. She was a great mother to four sons; a grandmother and great grandmother, with pictures of all of them on her fridge. She was always so kind to me. She was a great wife to my brother Ron. I will greatly miss her, and words fail me to describe how deep her loss is to those of us who loved her. We’ve all lost this special woman, but she will live on in our hearts and minds. God bless and keep you in his loving arms, Cauleen.Until that day when we meet again, save a corner in Heaven for the rest of us!

    My deepest condolences to the family. Cauleen was such a wonderful person. I’m grateful everyday for the friendship Cauleen and my Mom had. I find peace in knowing they are together again and sipping on some coffee and chatting again.
