Catherine Fulmer

Catherine Frances (Petersen) Fulmer passed away on January 17th, 2021. Catherine was born on January 8th, 1955 to Mary Rohde and Henry Petersen. She attended schools in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kenosha, graduating from Tremper High with the class of 1973. Catherine met Riley Fulmer in the ninth grade, and they would marry on August 30th, 1975 going on to raise three children, Andrew, Sarah (Mike Hodges) and Laura. Catherine also attended Gateway Technical College graduating with her LPN certification. She was a nurse at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and various area nursing homes before leaving the profession to become a kindergarten aid at St. Mary’s Catholic School.

In addition to her husband and children, left to cherish Catherine’s memory are her mother and stepfather Mary and John Rohde, sisters Mary Peltz and Jane (Dennis) Petersen, brothers David (Jodie), Billy (Jaye), Michael and James (Angela). She is also survived by four beautiful grandchildren, Kellen, Ada, Madden and Kane, brother in-law Leland (Allison) Fulmer Jr, Sister in-law Amy (John) Fulmer-Volgel, Nancy (Jim) DeNio, and Jane Kautzer. Catherine leaves behind a bevy of nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

Catherine was preceded in death by her dad Henry, her mother and father in-law Verdelle and Leland Fulmer Sr., two brothers-in-law, Lee (Dick) Fulmer and Jerry Fulmer and sister in-law Judy Fulmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, (4339 Douglas Ave. Racine WI 53403) on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 10:00 A.M., family will receive guests at 9am until the time of Mass. Due to CDC guidelines and COVID-19 restrictions, the family asks that if you are attending, please wear masks if possible and maintain social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation.     We worked together at Kenosha Hospital.. She loved her job,and was a good nurse,and a good friend..
