Carol worked in the family business of 45 years, the Ski & Sport Chalet, as well as the Kenosha Unified School District. Carol really enjoyed her time working with the children and staff at Wilson Elementary School.

Carol enjoyed spending many summers boating on Silver Lake. The pontoon boat was a regular gathering spot for the family, friends and pets in her life. She also enjoyed raising dogs and watching her kids and grandkids compete in sports and other activities. Upon retirement, Carol and Jim also enjoyed time at their cabin in Door County.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Kemper Center Founders Hall on Friday September 26. Visitation with the family will take place from 1pm till 2pm, with a brief Service of Remembrance at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Thoughts for Carol Jake;

    I am deeply saddened by Carol’s passing. We shared many laughs while making popcorn for the kids at Wilson School as well as playing SkipBo with Maryann and George P. She was a treasured friend to many.

  • Mike Serpe and Deb Hertzberg says:

    Carol and Jim have been good neighbors and great friends of ours for many years and are profoundly saddened at her passing. We will miss her and the good times the four of us enjoyed here and in Door County.
    Much love to Jim, the family and all who loved her.
