Anthony “Tony” Hines

Anthony “Tony” Hines passed peacefully July 1 at his home in Bonita Springs Florida with his loving wife Kathleen at his side.

Tony was born on October 5, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of Mary and Michael Hines. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1958.

On October 24, 1959 Tony married the love of his life Kathleen Tyson, with whom he shared 66

wonderful years.

Tony joined the Kenosha Fire Department in 1963 and retired at the rank of Captain in 1996

In 1976 Tony became one of the very first hospice volunteers and continued until he moved to Florida in 2009

During countless Christmas seasons you would find Tony, many times with his granddaughter Kelsey singing Christmas songs and ringing the bells for Salvation Army

Tony and Kay volunteered countless hours and kettles of soup at the Shalome Center, and opened their hearts and home to many foster children

Tony was proceeded in death by his beloved daughter Marie Macier(Hernandez) and son-in-law Timothy Payson.

Tony will be greatly missed by his wife Kay, his children Patricia (Kenneth) Busse Michael(Tamara) Hines Mary(Bryan) Swank John(Michele) Hines Christine (Timothy)Payson and Katherine Hines

His 14 beloved grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Saturday July 19th at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. (Corner of 39th Ave. and 73rd Street) Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
