Erik A. Eskola

Erik A. Eskola, age 27, of Kenosha, late of Milwaukee, found peace on August 25, 2020 at his home. He was the father to Easton Eskola, the son of Pamela Zalubowski and Bradley Eskola. He was also the brother of Evan Eskola.

To those who knew him, he was kind, giving, loving and outgoing. He loved the beach, the sun, saltwater and the outdoors. The family cherishes their memories of time spent with Erik, be it sports, vacations, over the road with Dad and spending summers with all his Grandparents. He especially loved hanging out with his Uncle Bill and his Uncle Brian. He also loved spending time with his cousins Ashley and Lacey and Auntie Vickie and Uncle Mark.

We thank our friends and family for all of their help and support at this time. There to welcome him home are his step-father, James Zalubowski, godmother, Lori Tappa, his Grandparents Nancy and Bruce Eskola and his Aunt Bonnie.

Services were held privately.

Erik had what, we in our family called, a belly laugh. He laughed from so deep down, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. He had a beautiful smile, and a great sense of humor, he will be missed.

    • “There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”
      ~ Washington Irving

I will not dwell on the worst chapter in Erik’s life, but rather on little things that I remember—his huge smile, laughter, and embracing all the beautiful and fond memories. Erik will never be forgotten.

      Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

  • Each day as evening starts to set
The ache builds in her chest
She knows that she must go to bed
And try to get some rest

She hugs her tearstained pillow close
    When no one is around
And cries for the one she loved and lost
    And screams without a sound

Others see her in the day
    And think she’s doing well
But every day as evening sets
    She enters her own hell

Time hasn’t healed her pain at all
    Or quieted her fears
So every night alone in bed
    She sheds those silent tears

    • I’m so sorry Pam. I just figured out the news and realized it was your son. I am so sad for you but let the memories give you strength for the future??

  • Just found out of Erik’s passing and am saddened to hear. Erik was one of my best friends back in middle school. We hung out practically every weekend for about two years. Erik was always a lot of fun to be around and knew how to make others laugh. He was the kind of person that made sure everyone was having a good time and did whatever he could to put a smile on someone’s face. Unfortunately, after middle school we lost touch. I’ll always remember all the fun times we had way back then. Rest easy.
