On Sunday, December 30, 2018, at the age of 88, Ellen Irene Chiappetta, passed away at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 18, 1930 to the late Giovanni and Anna (Patitucci) Spizzirri in Kenosha. She was united in Marriage on May 16, 1974, to the love of her life, Albert Chiappetta in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ellen attended local schools and received an Associate Degree in Library Science from Gateway Technical College. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Holy Rosary of Pompeii Church of Kenosha. She was a member of a women’s card club for over 60 years and cherished her two best friends, Mrs. Eleanor Meo and Mrs. Laura Irving, its final two members. Ellen was employed by Carthage College Library, Kenosha Public Library System, and Jockey International Outlet Center and later on worked for Physicians offices in administrative positions until retirement. She was a very loving and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was very spiritual and prayed to Our Lord Jesus Christ several times a day for those she loved and anyone in need.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Marlene (Emil) Beronich, Kenosha, Lee Ciappetta, Kenosha, and Susan (Michael) Geliche of Union Grove, 5 Grandchildren, David (Andrea) Beronich, Chapel Hill, NC, Marie (Michael) Dorey, Kenosha, Alyson Morris, Kenosha, Maxwell (Samantha) Geliche, West Allis, and Gina Geliche of Hancock, MI. She is further survived by 6 Great-Grandchildren, Alexa and Alayna Beronich, Emilia and Evan Dorey, Brianna Brown and Emma Morris and
her Step-daughter Francine (Jerry) Stupar, Step- son Allen (Lisa) Chiappetta, 6 step-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren. A sister, MaryAnn (Anthony) Ritacca and brother, John (Kim) Spizzirri, several nieces and nephews also survive her that she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by several cousins, one, Donald Patitcci in which she shared a close, loving relationship.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, on September 2, 2012, her first husband and father of her children, Leonard Ciappetta, her sister, Sarah Bisciglia and nephew Richard Bisciglia, along with several brother and sister-in-laws.
We would like to express a special thank you to Aurora Home Hospice, Dr. Stuart Fox and Staff, Dr. Margery Howard, Dr. Farah Salahuddin, Dr. Ikram Rashid, Dr. Michael Engels and Dr. Dennis Fahey DDS for their outstanding care and compassion for many years in your exceptional care of our mother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5th, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Woman’s Club of Kenosha. (6028-8th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the Woman’s Club from 10:00AM until the time of services. Entombment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
