Anita L. Shumway (1925-2016)

Anita L. Shumway, age 90, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday June 2^nd, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine.

Anita was born November 3^rd, 1925 in Kenosha to Peter and Della Tribur. She was educated in the local schools and was united in marriage with Elwin Shumway.

Anita was a very proud homemaker. Her artistic nature and attention to detail made her family and friends feel comfortable and cared for always. She took wonderful care of her husband Elwin before his death, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren cherished the time they got to spend with her.

Surviving Anita is her loving son Mark (Peggy) Shumway, her grandchildren Kristan Mazemke, Jason Shumway, Rebecca Shumway and Melissa Ferg and her 11 great grandchildren.

Preceding Anita in death were her parents, her husband and all of her brothers and sisters.

Family committal services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Ridgewood Care Center Garden Fund, or to the family would be greatly appreciated.
