Michael John Brehmer, 44, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2026.

Michael was born September 20th, 1981, to Joan (Hooper) Reetz, and Dan Brehmer in North Carolina.
Michael was a loving father, devoted son, incredible brother, fun uncle, and a great friend. He was someone who could always be counted on when help was needed. Whether it was building something, fixing something, or simply being there for someone, Michael had a way of making himself available to the people he cared about.

Michael spent much of his life working as a contractor and later worked as a polisher at Irving’s Polishing. He had a natural talent for building and creating, and he was an amazing artist. He loved working with his hands and could take something apart and see the possibilities in putting it back together. He also had a deep love for tattoos and the stories, memories, and personal meaning behind them. His tattoos were a reflection of his personality, experiences, and the things that mattered to him.

One of Michael’s greatest passions was motorcycles. He loved taking them apart, rebuilding them, and bringing them back to life. He also enjoyed golf, especially the time he spent playing with his son, Enzo.

Above all else, Michael’s son, Enzo, was the light of his life. Michael often said that Enzo was the best thing in his life, and the love and pride he had for his son was evident to everyone who knew him.

Michael will also be remembered for the joy he brought to his family. His nieces and nephews will forever remember him for his famous watermelon salsa and tiramisu, as well as the fun, laughter, and memories he created with them. He was the kind of uncle who made family gatherings more memorable simply by being there.

In his younger years, Michael was known for DJing and sharing his love of music. He loved to skate board, you could always find him with his board in his hand or under his feet. He had many interests and talents throughout his life, but perhaps what defined him most was his willingness to help others and his ability to make and fix things with his own two hands.

Michael is survived by his beloved son, Enzo Bourque; his parents, Joan Reetz and Dan Brehmer; his siblings, Mandi (Blake) Ridenour and Patrick (Laurna) Reetz; along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and extended family members who will miss him deeply.

Michael leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, creativity, and love. He will be remembered as a loving father, an amazing son, an incredible brother, a beloved uncle, and a loyal friend. His hands may no longer be here to build and create, but the things he built, the people he helped, and the memories he made will remain a part of those who loved him.

Michael will be deeply be missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Kenosha City Church (6009 Pershing Blvd, Kenosha, WI 53142).
