Zivko Despotovic, age 82 a resident of Kenosha, died Sunday November 8th 2015 at Grande Prairie in Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Gornji Dobrić, Yugoslavia on February 4th 1933 he was the son of Milan and Milojka (Novakovic) Despotovic. He was educated in the local schools and on September 28th 1952, he was united in marriage with Marija Drlic in Belgrade,Yugoslavia. They moved to the United States in 1966 and raised their family here.
Zivko was a hard working man with a remarkable work ethic. He was employed at MacWhyte Wire Rope Company, retiring in 1995. Zivko loved to work in his garden and grow his own vegetables.
He is survived by his children, Milan (Patricia) Despotovic and Vesna (John) Becker, both of Kenosha and by his grandchildren, Bryan Despotovic, Eric (Suzy) Despotovic, and Jamie (Josh) Johnson all of Raliegh NC. In addition, he is survived by his great grandchildren Taj and Ahnika and by his brother Ilija Despotovic of Serbia.
Preceding Zivko in death were his wife Marija in 1995 and his parents as well as three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 17th 2015 at 11:00AM at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Libertyville IL. (32377-N. Milwaukee Avenue) Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday at St. Sava from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
