Yung Siu Liu, age 87, a resident of Kenosha, died Sunday October 4th 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Campus in Racine.
Yung Siu was born on May 5th, 1928 in Sri Lanka Ceylon. In 1950, she was united in marriage with Joseph (Liu Siao San) Liu in Ethiopia. They had five beautiful children together and he preceded her in death.
Yung Siu was a devoted wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and loved entertaining and hosting large family gatherings. She was a devout woman who faithfully attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Chris (Susan) Liu of Kenosha, Charles (Renee) Liu of Wallingford CT, Frank (Julie) Liu of Kenosha and Lily Hwang of Kenosha and by her 11 grandchildren, Andrew Liu, Amelia Liu, Todd (Jeanne) Liu, Jared (Kristen) Liu, Melissa Myers, Cory (Ilea) Liu, Michelle (Bradford) Jackson, Zachary Liu, Joseph Hwang and Cynthia Hwang and by her seven great grandchildren, Iviania, Kieran, Ronan, McKenna, Roosevelt, Whitman and Emmerson. She is also survived by her brother Tony Chen and her sister Mary Chao.
Preceding Yung Siu in death were her parents, her husband, one son Mario Liu and her son-in-law Lung-Dzo Hwang
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 9th 2015 at 11:00AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Kenosha. (7117-14th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Friday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of services.
