William T. “Huncky” White, age 89 a resident of Kenosha, died Friday October 8th 2010 at Hospitality Nursing and Rehab Center.
William was born on August 28, 1921 to the late William H. and Ida (Conn) White in Eagle River WI.
William earned a Bronze Star for rescuing his Captain during the European Campaign as a medic. He was one of the last 2 survivors of the Battle of the Bulge.
William retired in1980. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Wisconsin and Illinois. He was also employed as a painter and handyman.
William is survived by his brother Loyal White of Antigo WI, nephew Charlie White of Kenosha WI, nieces Charlene Newburgh of CA and Charlotte Johnson of IL.
William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and nephew Billie White.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 15th 2010 at 10:00AM at the Womans Club in downtown Kenosha. (6028-8th Avenue) Visitation will be on Friday at the Womans Club from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Burial with full military honors will take place at the Southern WI Veterans Cemetery on Thursday October 21st 2010 at 12:00 noon.
