William “Bill” Robert Ferraton

 William “Bill” Robert Ferraton, 75, of Zion, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, at his residence. He was born on October 5th, 1948, the son of Orline and Emily Nolder.

William proudly served in the 5th Battalion, 42nd Artillery Regiment, of the US Army during the Vietnam War, as a radio operator, receiving a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal 1st Award for his service.

 His hobbies included talking to his close friend Janet Scuticchio, knitting scarves, and fishing.

 Survivors include his son, Edward (Robyn) Ferraton; Five grandchildren, Amber (Bryce) Dallman, Cory (Ashley Howe) Ferraton, Erin Erickson, Chance Wachter, and Amanda Bloomer; 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Donna (Al) Bracius; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters Melissa Ferraton and Candis (Ferraton) Bloomer and brothers Kenneth and Robert Nolder.

Per William’s wishes there will be a small, private viewing for immediate family Wednesday, July 31st. Services and interment, with full Military Honors, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday August 1st, at Oakwood Cemetery; 1210 53rd Ave. Kenosha, WI.

Following interment, Ed and Robyn invite you to join them for a luncheon at their place of residence.

  • As Chaplain for the American Legion Post 21 and the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 21 in Kenosha Wisconsin, I’d like to say thank you for your service and God bless you, your family, and your friends.
