Willard Anderson, age 85, of Kenosha died October 12, 2017 at Kenosha Senior Living.
Willard was born in Eau Claire on May 3, 1932 to George and Sylvia Anderson. After high school, he joined the US Air Force, serving on the signal corps as a member of the ski jumping team in Germany. On June 30, 1956, he married Jean Houman at First Presbyterian Church in Eau Claire. She preceded him in death on April 3rd of this year.
Willard worked for the Milwaukee and Soo Line Railroads as a manager. He belonged to the VFW and volunteered for many years as a Boy Scout leader. His great loves were camping and baby-sitting for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving Willard are his son Paul (Beverly) Anderson of Fox Lake and his daughter Sara (Steve) Burfield of Kenosha. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Tammie, Tanya, Tina, Buck, Nick, Jessica, Dan, and Chris and by eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son Eric and his granddaughter Anna.
A memorial service for Willard will be held on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 6:00PM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church (5601 Washington Road). Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5:00PM until the time of the service. Full military honors will follow. Inurnment will be private.
