Veronica “Roni” (DeAngelis) Wierzbicki, wife of the late and much loved Jungle Jim Wierzbicki ofKenoshapassed away on Saturday September 14, 2013.
Roni, a 1942 New Year’s Day baby, is the daughter of Adeline (Pascucci) DeAngelis (age 96) and the late Mario DeAngelis. She graduated fromBradfordHigh Schoolin 1960.
Roni loved to sew, cook, work puzzles, play cards and she enjoyed her lottery scratch offs.
She is survived by her daughters Janice (husband Andy) Nehrkorn of New Berlin WI, and Nancy (fiancée Matt Kluge) of Loganville GA, by her son Jim (wife Bonnie) Wierzbicki of West Bend WI, and by her grandson Max Wawiorka whom she loved so much along with her other grandchildren Jake Wawiorka, Alexandria and Samantha Nehrkorn, and Kate and Megan Wierzbicki. She is also survived by her sisters Madeline (the late Lou) Gallo of Colorado, Debbie (husband Randy) Wilson of Kenosha and her beloved sister and best friend Carol (husband Dennis) Gott of Kenosha. Roni also has two nieces and six nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the Wierzbicki family hopes that in Roni’s memory you’ll do something enjoyable and special with the ones you hold dear. Donations may be made to Hospice Alliance in gratitude for ensuring a beautiful and peaceful journey for Roni.
There will be a celebration of Roni’s life on Sunday September 22, 2013 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at KemperCenter’s Founders Hall (6501-3rd avenue). A brief service of joyful remembrance will be held at 7:45PM.
