Valeria “Val” Bianchi age 91 a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday March 9th 2017 at her residence with her daughters by her side.
Val was born in Kenosha on May 10th 1925 to Anton and Eva (Juskaukus) Osilius. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha County and attended Agricultural School in Rochester. She worked at Full Fashion Mills packing parachutes, and at Nash Kelvinator and Vincent McCall. She married George C. Bianchi in Waukegan on September 9th 1949. She enjoyed being a house wife and caring for her two daughters.
Val loved gardening and was a whiz at sewing and upholstery. She was a wonderful cook and always enjoyed opening her home to people she loved. She has been a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church for almost 60 years.
She is survived by her daughters Donna (Steven) Bianchi- Schultz and Lisa Bianchi and by a granddaughter Krista Schultz. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Val was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, her sisters, Helen Newstrom, Eva Abrahamson and Rose Christopherson and her brother Tony Osilius. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and John in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 15th 2017 at 9:30AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (2224 45th St) in Kenosha. Burial will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery following the mass.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, March 14th 2017 at the Woman’s Club of Kenosha (6028-8th Avenue) from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Parking is available on 8th Avenue or in the parking lot off Sheridan Road.
In lieu of flowers memorials to either Holy Rosary or to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated.
