Thomas James Acerbi, of Kenosha, WI, passed peacefully at his home on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at the age of 68 years old. Tom was born on November 7th, 1949, in Kenosha to Carl Sr. and Edith (Virgili) Acerbi. Upon graduating from Tremper High School, he explored a number of job options including electronic repairs, hotel repair, security, and, most recently, assisting those who are less fortunate by working for the Shalom Center. He lived in Kenosha all his life and loved spending time on the Lake Michigan waterfront. One of Tom’s relaxing pastimes was spending time at aquariums and creating his own fish tank setups at home. His favorite holiday was Halloween – he enjoyed carving pumpkins and even won a few contests in his younger years. He also loved listening to Coast 2 Coast AM and watching a good science fiction movie. Above all, he loved to reminisce and remind others of the great memories they had created together.
Tom is now reunited with his parents and brother Peter (Elena). Those who live on to spread his constantly upbeat demeanor include his daughter Merissa (Jake) Pemberton of Pittsburgh, PA and son Jason (Hasha) Acerbi of Houston, TX. Siblings include his brothers Carl (Barbara), and Robert (Sharon) Acerbi, and, sisters Dolores (Don, deceased) Sommers, Gigi (George Bjorklund) Acerbi of Kenosha. Tom is also survived by his fiancé, Uriah Lyn of the Philippines. Tom was a devoted member of the Iglesia ni Cristo Church.
A private family service will be held in the coming weeks. Feel free to contact family if you would like to attend. Any bright memories you may be reminded of, thanks to the life Tom lived, are encouraged to be shared below.
