Dr. Thomas P. Heinze passed away on Saturday September 11, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha WI.
He was born on October 26, 1923 in Kenosha to Arthur W. and Hattie P. (Sipowski)Heinze. Thomas graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1941. He then attended Marquette University and in 1944 was drafted into World War II. In 1946 he was honorably discharged and then went on the attend Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 1950 with a Doctorate degree of Optometry. He then began a private practice with his brother Dr. Arthur S. Heinze and they continued to practice for over 40 years in the Kenosha and Milwaukee area. Thomas married Joyce J. Vignieri in Kenosha on June 27, 1959. They shared over 40 wonderful years together and in June 2004 she preceded him in death.
Thomas is survived by his loving daughter, son, and sister, Lisa M. Heinze, Thomas P. Heinze Jr, and Iris H. Kelsey
Thomas was preceded in death by his brother Dr. Arthur S. Heinze.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 9, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (7307 40th Avenue) at 9:30 AM. Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial took place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in September with full military honors.
