Thomas E. La Salle, age 83, of Kenosha passed away on August 22, 2018 from complications of leukemia. He spent his last days in the care of at Hospice Alliance, Hospice House, surrounded by family. Tom was born on September 7, 1934 in Milwaukee to Alfred and Christine (Vavruska) La Salle. He attended Don Bosco High School in Milwaukee and then served in the United States Army from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1956. Tom enjoyed a 40 year career with Sears & Roebuck and throughout his long retirement he enjoyed bowling, fishing, wood carving and sharing life with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, but he is survived by a loving family, including his wife of over 48 years, Patricia and sister Mary Shoaf; three sons and two daughters, Julie Cutter of Kenosha, Michael (Laura) La Salle of Hickory Hills, IL, Janice La Salle of Corvallis, OR, Martin (Sandra) La Salle of Rio Rancho, NM and TJ (Jill) La Salle of Milwaukee, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 – 7th Avenue). A visitation will take place at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Alliance and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, both of Kenosha would be appreciated.
