Ted Lipnicki, age 80, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 in Wadsworth, Illinois.
Ted was born in Polandon February 1st, 1936 to Walter and Helen (Gryszan) Lipnicki. In 1943, Ted was taken with his family to a forced labor camp at the height of World War Two. They were lucky to survive the bombing and the Nazis and immigrated to America three years after the war ended.
Life was hard as America had labor quotas to fill and only labor that was needed was permitted. Eventually, Ted was educated in the schools of Wisconsin. Upon his graduation, he volunteered to join the United States Army and served his new country until he was honorably discharged in August of 1964. While Ted was in the service, he married and the family was blessed with three beautiful daughters. After the Army, Ted returned to his career in the title business. He rose steadily through the ranks, and he retired after 34 years as Vice President of his firm.
Ted is survived by his three daughters, Debra Wallin, Terri Knuth and Lisa Lipnicki and by his three grandchildren, Jamie Lyn Knuth, Tracy Anne (Rob) Black and Kyle Wayne Robinson.
Private committal services will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
