Sylvia B. Capon, age 74 and resident of Kenosha died Monday January 17, 2005 at her residence.
Born on September 19, 1930 in Hackney London, she was the daughter of the late Walter Fredrick and Pretoria Ellen (Picon) Mason.
She was educated in the schools of London. At the age of 16, she joined the WACS in London.
On March 24, 1956 she married Reginald ?Dennis? Capon at St. Marks Church in London. He died December 16, 1996. They came to the United States (Beloit) in 1960. In 1963, they moved to Kenosha.
She was employed as a cook for over 5 years at the Grants Department Store in Pershing Plaza. She then was employed at the House of Gerhard?s Restaurant until her retirement. She enjoyed following local politics, with particular interest in neighborhood issues.
Her son Nick (Debbie) Capon of Kenosha, and a sister Patricia (John) Sinclair of Arizona survive her. She is further survived by two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband and one brother preceded her in death.
Private funeral services will be held for the late Sylvia B. Capon. Two loving grandchildren Carley and Jonathan Capon, and two loving step-grandchildren Brandon and Nicholas Keller, all of Kenosha, further survive Mrs. Capon. Mrs. Capon was fun loving and lived life to its fullest, and will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
