Steven Michael “Mickey” Ernst passed away peacefully at his home on June 24th, 2025, at the age of 62.
He was born in Kenosha WI on September 12th, 1962, and was the youngest of three children of Ronald and Barbara Ernst.
Steven attended St. Marks, Lincoln Jr. High and graduated from Tremper High School in 1980.
He was employed by Jewel Osco as a produce manager for 35 years.
Steven played little league baseball and was an avid bowler, tennis player and long-distance bike rider.
He is survived by his father Ronald of Kenosha WI, his brother Ronald of Adams WI, his nieces Krysta Pun and Bailey Schoenfeld, his great nephew Cooper Pun and his cat Flaka.
Preceding him in death was his mother Barbara, his sister Susan Ruffolo brother-in-law John Ruffolo, aunt and uncle Shirley and Eugene Yule, and sister-in-law Michelle Ernst.
As per Stevens wishes, there will be no service. A memorial luncheon for family will be scheduled later.
