Steven Lawrence Daniels passed away with his family by his side on December 30, 2021. Steve, the son of the late Richard and Mary (Murray) Daniels, was born on September 1, 1951 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Steve graduated from Bradford High School in 1969 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He later graduated from Gateway Technical College and became a certified Electrician.
Steve moved to Kansas in 1980 with his family. There he served his community as an officer with the Goddard Police Department. In 1985 he returned to Kenosha where he worked at MacWhyte Wire Rope and Ocean Spray. He retired in 2016 as Plant Engineer at Palermo’s Pizza.
On June 14, 1988 Steve married his best friend and the love of his life Corinne Haubrich. During retirement, Steve enjoyed helping customers at True Value Hardware. He also enjoyed building radio-controlled aircraft which he created, flew and crashed. He was an avid reader, long-time Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren in Kansas. He will be remembered for throwing great summer picnics and as someone always ready to lend a hand.
Steve will be dearly missed by his wife Corie, his parents Clarence (Jim) and Lorna Nader, siblings, Dennis (Toni) Nader, Sue Daniels Thorpe, Kevin Nader, Lori (Paul) Peterson, and Donna (Chuck) Tess, his daughters Crystal (Scott) May, Jamie Daniels, Stephanie (William) Mayfield, his son Matthew Bruns, and his grandchildren Tyler Tucker, Harper May, Alex Frank, Cheyenne Bissell, Brayden Daniels, Kayla Allen, Teagan Mayfield and his great-grandson Leland Sanger. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his in-laws who were an important part of his life.
Steve was preceded in death by his loving parents (Richard & Mary), and his sisters Kathy Bartel and Tari Witkowiak.
Corie and her family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI for the excellent care they provided. Services honoring Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 with visitation from 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M, followed by a memorial service at the Kemper Center Founder’s Hall at 6501 3rd Avenue, Kenosha.
