Steve Horvat (1911 – 2005)

Steve Horvat, 93, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Kenosha Medical Center.

Born on September 10, 1911, he was the son of the late Martin and Margaret (Miller) Horvat.

A life long Kenosha resident, he was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

He was employed as a security guard.

He was a lifetime Eagles Club member Aerie# 1055. He was a long time member of the KYF and swam everyday until the day he died. He was a jogger and often could be seen jogging/walking all over Kenosha while shadow boxing He had been a Golden Gloves Boxer. He was interested in current events, and had been a volunteer on different aldermanic contests in the Kenosha area.

Many firends, and especially long time friend Ken Kopeski survive him.

His parents and a brother preceded him in death.

Graveside services for Mr. Horvat will be held on Tuesday Aril 19, 005 at 1:00pm at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Kenosha.
