Shirley M. Yule, a resident of Kenosha formerly of Dewey, Arizona died Sunday January 14, 2018 at Brookside Care Center.
The daughter of Leo and Clara (Toporski) Ernst, she was born on August 10, 1927 in Kenosha.
She was graduated from Mary D. Bradford High in June of 1945.
On June 7, 1947 she was married to Eugene E. Yule at St. George Catholic Church. In 1961 moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and in 1988 moved to Prescott, Arizona. She was a member of St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley.
She retired from Salt River Project as a secretary in 1988. She was known to be an amateur cartoonist by friends. She enjoyed swimming laps at the college on Saturdays and in earlier years held a license for Water Safety Instructor. She would miss her “swimming buddies” when she moved to Arizona.
Survivors include her brother Ronald (Barbara), niece Susan Ruffolo, nephew Steven of Kenosha; nephew Ronald A. of Friendship, Wisconsin and grand nieces Krysta and Bailey Ernst.
Her father and mother preceded her in death in 1976 and 1983 as well as her husband in 1997.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 19, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. (4816 7th Avenue) Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of mass. Inurnment will take place at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix Arizona at a later date.
