Sherry Froeber (1948 – 2005)

Sherry L. Froeber, age 56 a resident of Somers died Saturday April 16 2005 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born on June 10, 1948 in Waukegan IL she was the daughter of the late Edwin Strantz and Evelyn (Larsen) Strantz of Somers.

As a young she was educated in the schools of IL before moving to WI in the early 1960’s. She attended Tremper High School and was the first graduating class in 1966.

On July 20, 1968 she married Fredrick Froeber in Kenosha.

She was a homemaker in her own home. She loved to garden, walk and travel. She was very involved in the Riverport Chorus, a Chapter of the Sweet Adeline?s International. She was a member of the Double Take Octet and the Upbeat 4 Quartet. She traveled extensively with the chorus and did very well in competitions. They won eight regional Championships. In 2000, they traveled to Austria.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, 3 sons Rustin (Lesley); Jace Kim); Jodin; and three loving grandchildren; Christopher, Autumn and Andrew, all of Somers.

Her father preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Sherry will be held on Friday April 22, 2005 at 6:30PM at The First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha. (1803-83rd Street) Visitation will be at the church from 5:00PM until the time of service.

As per Sherry’s wishes, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Riverport Chorus.
