Sharon Marie Hoar

Sharon Marie Hoar, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 27th 2023. Born on November 20th, 1976 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She graduated from Tremper high school. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca “Becky” (Nelson) Hoar.

Daughter to Robert Irving Hoar Jr. and Rebecca Jean (Nelson) Hoar, Sharon was a loving mother of three who dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her 17-year-old son with autism. A loyal partner to her fiancé, Jeff Berry, of 25 years.

Sharon was a nature lover, choosing walks with her family over anything else. She liked animals (except snakes), decorating, frisbee golf, the beach, and spending time with her friends and family. Having a magical way with children, she spread love and smiles wherever she went. Always thinking of others, her personality and distinct laugh would light up the room with joy. Sharon wore her heart on her sleeve and spoke her mind. She had a genuine hearted soul and a positive loving attitude that made you feel loved.

She is survived by her fiancé and partner of 25 years Jeff Berry, daughter Kierstin (Michael) Vranak-Casey, her sons Jordan and Joshua Berry, her father Robert “Bob” Hoar Jr, and an entire loving family of cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, and friends from every walk of life. She will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Saturday July 8th, 2023, at 11:00AM in the Kemper Center Founders Hall. (6501-3rd Avenue) Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

Sharon never ever failed to light up a room. Her energy was so intense and her aura so bright, that you could sense her before she even walked in. Her strength and passion amazed me. I am a better person for having known her and a lucky person to have been able to call her a friend.

  • Tanya Hoar says:

You’re my husband’s eldest sister and from the moment we met, you treated me like a part of your family. You were always genuine, passionate, and a softie for your nieces. It is unimaginable that we were just all together, having a great weekend, making plans for the summer, and now you’re just gone. You’ll be missed and never forgotten.
