It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Scott R. Laybourn, a long-time resident of Kenosha, on Thursday, August 8th, 2024. Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Shelia M. Laybourn; a sister, Leah Milligan and a brother Lance (Kathleen) Laybourn; his children from his first marriage; Brianna and Brannon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Scott was born on August 17th, 1951, in Milwaukee, and is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Paul and Dorothy Marie, and a half sister Mary Loke.
Scott was a 1969 graduate of Tremper High School and studied Philosophy and Theology at Evangel University of Missouri. He was part of the vibrant restaurant industry in a managerial capacity in Washington DC, for many decades starting in the 1980’s. Scott enjoyed fast muscle cars, golf, racquetball, tennis, anything electronic and good food. He especially loved his dog, Lulu. Scott was a dear friend to many and will be missed greatly.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (714 49th Street Kenosha WI) on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024. Visitation will be at 1:00pm followed by the 2:00pm Mass. Interment will be private.
