Samuel Hachey

Samuel Hachey, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by his family at Hospice Alliance Hospice House.

Born in Superior, Wisconsin, Sam was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Hachey. He received his education in the local schools of Superior and, upon graduating high school, enlisted in the Army. He served honorably in Germany and Vietnam, remaining a proud veteran throughout his life.

Sam dedicated many years of his career to American Motors/Chrysler in Kenosha, retiring over two decades ago but will forever remain a car guy!

In his leisure time, Sam enjoyed fishing for whatever bites with his friend Hugh Walter and playing pool with his buddy Robert “Cowboy” Kuehn. A devoted sports enthusiast, he was a passionate supporter of both the Packers and Brewers, eagerly anticipating the Brewers’ pursuit of the World Series title this year. Recently, he enjoyed taking photographs and was always prepared to snap pictures of his family, birds or whatever caught his eye. Additionally, Sam and his wife, Corlis, were members of Spirit Alive Church for many years and he loved his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Dianne and Ellie.

Sam is survived by his wife of 53 years, Corlis; his brother, Roger, residing in Oklahoma; his children, Christina (Chris) Oldani of Kenosha and Sarah (Lauren) Hachey of Bloomington, Minnesota; as well as his grandchildren, Ryan (Natalia), Jake, Lake, Vida, and Tallulah, and his great-grandson, Macklin.

Services for Sam will be held on Saturday, October 11, at 1:30 PM at Spirit Alive Church, located within the Wesley Methodist building at 4600 60th Street. Military honors will follow the service.

The family will remain forever grateful for the outstanding care they provided Sam at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert South St. Catherine’s and the Hospice Alliance Hospice House.
