Ruth E. Mukka, age 80, passed away Thursday August 12, 2010 at Grand Prairie Nursing and Rehab Center.
Ruth was born in Chicago IL to Joseph M. and Martha B. (Marrs) Carter. She was educated in the schools of Chicago. Ruth lived in Copper Country MI and Waukegan IL before moving to Kenosha WI in 1969.
On July 1, 1956 Ruth married Roy H. Mukka. She was a lunch lady for many years at Lincoln Elementary School and also was employed for a short time at Kemper Center.
Ruth is survived by two sons Roy (Mary) Mukka of Pleasant Prairie WI and Joseph Mukka of Kenosha WI and three daughters Jean (Fran) Arvidson of Oshkosh WI, Ruth (Richard) Irving of Pleasant Prairie WI, and Ann (Wendell) Ollila of Salem WI. She is further survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, her husband Roy in 1999, brothers George and Joseph, sisters Rachel and Jane and great grandson Jeremy Ollila, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church (2313 17th Ave) on Sunday August 15, 2010 at 4:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of services. Burial will be private.
