Ruth Schenk, 70, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019 at Aurora Hospital In-patient Hospice Care, Kenosha. Ruth was born in Kenosha on April 2, 1949 to Peter and Hazel Mae (Collins) Schenk. She attended Kenosha schools, graduating from Tremper High School in 1967.
Like her mother Hazel and sister Laurie, Ruth was an avid baseball fan and rooted for her beloved Chicago Cubs. Ruth worked as a keypunch operator with various businesses in the Kenosha/Racine area and later as a child and adult caregiver.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Susannah Schenk of Kenosha, grandsons Nicholas (Ashley) and Alex Schenk, granddaughter, Laura Lynn Schenk, and great-grandson, Cameron Schenk. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Patricia (Al) Saenz of San Antonio, TX, brother, Martin (Judy Gaal) Schenk, sisters, Ginny (José) Martínez and Laurie (Wally) Christman all of Kenosha. Furthermore, many beloved nieces and nephews survive her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Matthew Thomas Schenk, sister, Dorothy Schenk and nephew, Rick Saenz of San Antonio, TX.

A celebration of life service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7104 39th Ave., Kenosha, on Friday, August 16 at 9:30 a.m.
