Rosemary R. Ruffalo (Ziccarelli)

Rosemary R. Ruffalo (Ziccarelli), age 81, lifelong resident of Kenosha, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on February 6th, 2026. She was born on October 14th, 1944, in Kenosha to the late Serafino Ziccarelli and Nancy (Iorio) Ziccarelli. She attended Holy Rosary Grade School and later graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1962. On June 1st, 1963, she married the love of her life James F. Ruffalo at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. The two remained faithfully married until James’ passing in 2015.

Rosemary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was affectionately known by many as “GiGi”. Family was always first in her life, a discipline she carried on throughout her life. She always loved cooking for her family whenever she had the chance. She would also make blankets and afghans for those she loved. She was passionate about caring for children and especially loved being a great grandmother in more recent years. She was extremely strong in her faith and raised all her children Catholic.

Rosemary is survived by her loving children: Genna (Christopher) Stiefel, Joelle (Jeffrey) Wroblewski, Jimaleen (Jeffrey) Lowry and Joseph (Chandra) Ruffalo, grandchildren: Nancy (William Anderson) Stiefel, Lauren (Brian) Pillizzi, Jackie (Cody) Gresham, Jeremy (Jaina) DeLabio, Joshua Stiefel, Alexander Ruffalo, Kyle (Gabrielle) Wroblewski, Zachary Ruffalo, Hayden (Brittney) Ruffalo, Amanda Wroblewski, Destiny Ruffalo, Jacob Lowry and Jessica Lowry, and great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Marshall, Calvin, Deacon, Gabriella, Maisey and Cole. She is preceded in death by her husband James Ruffalo, brothers: Ralph Ziccarelli, Robert Ziccarelli, James Ziccarelli and Richard Ziccarelli, and son in law: Ronald DeLabio.

The family would like to thank Dr. Poullette, Dr. Silenzi, Dr. Khan and Nurse Emma for always going above and beyond taking care of mom.

Services for Rosemary will be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall (6501 3rd Ave) on February 13th, 2026, at 2 P.M. A public visitation will also be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall from 12 P.M. until the time of the service on the same day. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
