Rosalie Cregar Jenkins, age 100, died October 8, 2006 at Lakeshore Manor.
She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 17, 1906 to the late Thomas and Serena (Umberger) Cregar.
She was the middle child of three sisters and two younger brothers.
Rosalie had one child, William McGarvey Jenkins, Jr. He was retired from the US Army as a Colonel and married for 30 years to Juanita Blitchington.
Rosalie worked in retail clothing for over 30 years. She ?took care of old people? as she put it from the age of 50 into her 80?s. She taught us how to play poker, catch fish, enjoy toys for what they were, and taught us the value of trust and friendship.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Juanita Blitchington, Grandchildren Keith Jenkins and Julie Barnett. She has 8 great-grandchildren Jon Jenkins, Chelsea and Kacy Bernstein, Deborah Garcia, Shraddah Reyna, Joshua Jenkins, Micah Jenkins, and Levi Jenkins. She has 1 great-great-grandchild Kaela Garcia; and one sister Bonnie Jean Paulsen of Racine. She is also survived by a dear friend and companion of 20 years, Chuck Lockman of Racine.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son William Jenkins, Jr., grandson Bruce Jenkins, brothers Paul Cregar and John Cregar; and one sister Mattie Izzy Hallman.
Per Rosalie?s wishes, her remains will be scattered. Services will be private.
