In Loving Memory
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald James Gott, who left us in January 2026 at the age of 92. He died peacefully at the Primrose Assisted Living facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin after a brave fight with cancer.
Born in Kenosha, he was the son of James A. and Alyce V. (Lindberg) Gott. In 1954 he married Lorraine Pizzini who preceded him in death in 2022. Ronald served in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1953 to 1955 and received an honorable discharge in 1961. He proudly worked for the city of Kenosha Water and Street Departments retiring after 32 years of service. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, road trips, gardening, playing bingo, poker, and other card games. He was often seen around the neighborhood pitching in pick-up baseball games in the street. He was a respected father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and a dedicated friend to many. He touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ronald is survived by daughter Debora (Marcus) Meyer; son Jeffrey Gott (Jodi); two grandchildren, Rachel (Edward) Ringsby and Ryan (Sydnee) Gott; seven great grandchildren; sisters Beverly Crawford, Marilyn Poteet, and Barbara Hammack; brother Dennis (Carol) Gott; as well as other extended family members who will always hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Dean, and his sisters Joan Esther, Pamela Kay, Donna Lee, and Lynne.
A Mass of Catholic burial for Ronald will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday January 14th, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Kenosha (2224 – 30th Avenue) with a visitation from 10:30am to 11:00am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Kenosha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to veteran’s charities, Hospice Alliance of Kenosha, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
Ronald will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dennis Gott says:
Iam going to miss my brother very much. Although he was a lot older then me, we were very close with each other. After my brother and sisters all married and then myself, we spent many times together at family gatherings through the years. My wife carol and l , played pinochle with my brother and his wife Lorraine for many years. We would go to the casinos with them and go to there cabin up north. I will always feel good and thankful, that I spent time with my brother during his illness until the time of his passing.
Shelly Lindberg VanVooren says:
I will always remember Ronnie coming to Peshtigo to go deer hunting with my dad (Pudgy Lindberg) and my grandpa, Harold Lindberg. Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Alyce would also visit.
I had my appendix out when I was 10. I was thrilled when Ronnie came with my dad to visit because I always thought he was so handsome.
He and my dad always talked about the Cubs. They do have one last phone call recently although I’m not sure either could understand the other. It was still a “cousin connection” and I am so glad they got to have that call.
You will be missed Ronnie

Had a few visits and spent time with Ron around the table playing poker also a few times we were on a trip to Bingo . Two things he and I truly enjoyed. I think I remember him being the winner;) RIP.
Elizabeth Meisenheimer says:
Played lots of poker with Ronny & Lorraine in the 1950’s for pennies, nickels, dimes. Always fun with good food. Good times remembered. Maybe they’re sitting at a table playing right now. Sure hope so!

Cindy (Lindberg) Anderla says:
My sympathies to the family. I remember Ronnie from when I was a very young child and he would visit at my grandparents house. Looking at the photo today I can definitely see the Lindberg genetics – he resembles my grandpa Lindberg. Rest Peacefully, Ronnie. 🙏🏻
