Ronald Emmard Swartz, age 83, passed away at his home in Kenosha, WI on April 23, 2018. Born in Norfolk, VA he was raised by a diverse cast of characters before being drafted into the Army and serving in the Korean War. He settled in the Chicago area after his tour where he attended Moody Bible Institute, worked for IBM and raised a daughter. He lived in Glenview, IL for almost 30 years where he was a school crossing guard in his retirement and loved joking and laughing with the children, teachers and their parents. Ron will be remembered for his great stories, silly faces, love of Star Trek and old radio and TV shows.
His memorial service will be held, Friday, April 27, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Phillip’s Church, Glenview, IL. Donations in lieu of flowers to Wounded Warier Project
