Robert G. Vesely, age 88, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on January 19th, 2025, at Creekside Manor in Oak Creek, WI, surrounded by family. He was born on September 1st, 1936, in Marshfield, WI, to the late Joseph and Barbara (Ellenbecker) Vesely. On August 29th, 1959, he married Lyla Krautkramer in Marathon, WI.
Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Local 72 UAW and worked at Chrysler in Kenosha for over 30 years, before retiring in 1991. During his retirement Bob enjoyed watching baseball, camping, fishing, and tinkering in the garage. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years Lynne (Lyla), children: Corine (Gregory) Hizer of Smithfield, NC, Mark (Teresa) of McDonough, GA, Karen (John) Barrette of Oak Creek, WI, Michael (Kathleen) Vesely of Iron Ridge, WI, Robert (Wendy) Vesely of Racine, WI, grandchildren: Adrienne and Cody Hizer, Tyler and Savannah Vesely, Andrew and Kyle Vesely, Joseph Vesely, along with great several great grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Bauer, Eleanor Endres; several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Ann Stahnke, Joseph Vesely, James Vesely and Cassie Denk, granddaughter, Heather Lueneburg, in-laws, Norbert Stahnke, Leonard Bauer, Richard Endres, Nan Vesely, Peggy Vesely, Gordon Krautkramer, Claude Krautkramer, Leon Krautkramer, James Krautkramer, Alice Krautkramer, and David Krautkramer.
A visitation for Bob will take place at St. Anne’s Catholic Church (9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd. Pleasant Prairie, WI) on Monday, January 27th, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. Immediately following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at church at 12:30. Inurnment will take place later at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
