Robert I. “Bob” Smith, 91 years old, of Kenosha, WI, passed away Friday, August 26th at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Pleasant Prairie. He was born in Point Pleasant, WV on January 31st, 1931 (1/31/31) to the late Arthur Odus Smith and Oma (Rayburn) Smith. Bob graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1948 and later moved to the Chicago area where he worked in the wholesale lumber and millwork business until his retirement in 1997.
Bob moved to Kenosha in 1999 to be closer to his grandchildren, who he spent a great deal of time babysitting while also instructing them on the finer points of PGA golf and thoroughbred horse racing. Bob was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose and belonged to Point Pleasant Lodge #731.
Survivors include his son, Robert (Beth) Smith, and grandchildren Paige and Sean Smith.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by former spouse Vivian (Cross) Smith, and brother Arthur Elvin (Judy) Smith.
Services will be held in Bob’s hometown of Point Pleasant, WV, where he will be laid to rest alongside his brother and parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Loyal Order of Moose Charities at moosecharities.org

Rob and Beth, I know he must’ve been so proud of all of you. So nice that he got to see Page and Shawn graduate. You are very blessed indeed to have had him for 91 years, but it’s always too soon. We will keep all of you in our prayers. my dad was also very fond of the moose lodge, maybe they can have a root beer together in heaven!
