Robert Eugene Adsit, 69 of Kenosha WI passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on January 19, 2021. Family and friends loved Bob for his playful sense of humor and direct way of speaking. Over the years Bob developed a deep faith in Jesus Christ and he passed with confidence that he was heading to enjoy eternal life with his Lord. He will be missed by a large and caring family network and many friends.
Bob is survived by 5 brothers and sisters: Albert Sandberg (Betty) of Maricopa AZ; Jack Sandberg (Jan) of St. Charles MO; Karen Seivert Benish (Jeffry Seivert, Herman Benish) of Kenosha WI; George Allan Sandberg (Debra) of Pleasant Prairie WI; and Kenneth Dale Sandberg (Julie) of Elkhorn WI and far too many beloved nephews and nieces to list here.
Bob was preceded in death by his father William Clarence Adsit, his mother Florence Mae Holcomb, his wife Debra Irene Patnaude, and brothers and sisters: Beverly Ann Adsit (Edward Hoffman); William W. Holcomb; Rose Marie Sandberg (Douglas Wait, William Beke); Victor Arthur Sandberg Jr (Natalie Weber Sandberg – living); Elizabeth Louise Sandberg; and Neal Craig Sandberg.
Bob was a collector – radios, coffee mugs, tools, hats, suspenders… Direct sales catalog vendors loved him! He was also an aspiring interior decorator – his furniture rarely stayed in one place for more than a week at a time. Bob spoke often of his years working as a supervisor at the Kenosha Achievement Center. He enjoyed transporting KAC clients with disabilities in “Care-A-Van” buses, driving KAC trucks regionally to pick up or deliver materials and having fun managing weekend production “parties” with KAC disabled clients. Bob also enjoyed helping with an Over the Road Trucking business. He loved to tell stories about mail runs from Kenosha to Madison and non-stop round trips from Kenosha to the deep South or some other distant location. Apparently sleeping over was against the rules for Bob! The time has now come for him to relax – Rest in Peace Bob!
A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday February 13th at Crossway Community Church – 13905 75th Street, Bristol WI.
