Richard Hoehne (1934-2017)

          Richard C. Hoehne, age 82, of Kenosha died January 26^th 2017 at Hospice Alliance’s Hospice House.

          Dick was born in Chicago IL on July 12^th, 1934 to Carl and Evelyn (Johnson) Hoehne. He served in the U.S. Army and made his living in the accounts division of the Milwaukee Road Railway Company.

          On May 31^st, 1986 Dick was united in marriage with Linda Ruffolo at Kemper Center chapel. Dick was a quiet but likable man. He enjoyed hunting and driving around to visit all the little towns in Northern Wisconsin, but fishing always came first. His love for the Northwoods stemmed from childhood trips his family took and he headed to the Minocqua area every chance he could.

He loved all things having to do with the railroad. His plan was always to build a giant model railroad set, but he never got around to it. He adored his family and always let his wife know that she was number one in his book. He will be remembered as a wonderful and faithful husband.

Dick is survived by his wife Linda, and by their children Richard “Rick” (Ellen) Hoehne, Lauren Van Dyke, Johnnie (Dawn) Schaefer, Heidi (John) Markgraf and Rory Hoehne. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a brother David Hoehne, his daughter-in-law Candi Hoehne and his sister-in-law Carla Debevec.

Preceding Dick in death were his parents, his sister Diane Weisner and his son-in-law John Van Dyke.

          A memorial service for Dick will take place on Monday February 6^th, 2017 at Prayer House Assembly of God (1525-24^th Kenosha 53140) at 11:00AM. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Committal will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors immediately following the service.

          In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated in gratitude for their kindness and care.
