Richard W. D’Angelo, age 80 a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday September 20, 2012 at his residence.
Richard was born on February 11, 1932 to the late Agge D’Angelo and Ida Christman in Kenosha WI. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
He served in the US Army from October 2nd 1951 until October 8th 1954. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Army of Occupation Medal.
In February of 1957 he married Geri Strosina. They later divorced.
He was co-owner and operator of 4 Star Video in Kenosha for 20 years. He had also owned the Holiday House Furniture Store in the Uptown, and co-owned the Union Club Bar.
He was an avid Packer Fan. He also loved having morning coffee with friends and dining out.
Richard is survived by his son Brian (Laura) D’Angelo of Racine WI. He is also survived by two brothers Wally (Laurel) Christman of Kenosha and Jim (Debbie) D’Angelo of Kenosha and one sister MaryAnn (George) Palubicki of Kenosha. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Agge D’Angelo and his step mother Mary D’Angelo, his mother Ida Christman and his step father Walter; and one step daughter Debbie O’Brien.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 6:00PM at the Kemper Center Founders Hall in Kenosha. (6501-3rd Avenue) A visitation with family will be held on Tuesday in Founders Hall from 4:00PM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
