Richard “Rick” Alan Weber

Richard A. Weber, 64 of Kenosha, completed his life journey on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.

Born on June 19, 1959 to Rueben and Mildred Weber, Rick enjoyed growing up and older with three brothers and three sisters whom he shared many adventures and good times with.  Rick attended Somers Elementary, Bullen Junior High and graduated from Bradford High School in 1977.

Instilled with a work ethic forged by parents who had grown up in the Depression, Rick worked at the Bella Rosa fur farm just down the road from his boyhood home during high school and then began working at Christ Iron Works upon graduation.  He stayed with the company through changes in its name and location, forging a 45 year career in which he could always be counted on to show up for work and get the job done and done well.

On December 17, 1988 Rick was united in marriage with the love of his life, Patricia Klemm.  Together they raised daughter Jessica and son Joshua and then enjoyed doting on grandson Jacob and granddaughter Elisabeth. Rick and Patty also treasured their four legged family members Lily, Molly and now Sonny and Midnight, all of which could usually be found on their laps or in their arms.

Family and friends were a cornerstone of Rick’s life.  He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his brothers and friends, bowhunting in the Mead Wildlife area or deer camp at the cabin on Lake Namakagon.  Growing up, baseball was another passion and throughout his life you could find him playing softball on the ball fields of Kenosha, especially Friday nights at Finneys. Rick always showed up and was more than willing to help anyone who asked, whether it be some home project, fix a car or simply help finish a pizza from Muto’s or Ruffalo’s.  Most Sunday afternoons he could be found gathered with his brothers, sisters and assorted family friends at mom’s house sharing food and good times while listening to either the Brewers or the Packers depending on the season.

If you watched television with Rick it would many times be black and white as he believed most of the movies worth watching were made long ago.  He did have his favorites among “newer” movies such as Goodfellas, Cool Hand Luke, Bronx Tale and of course all The Godfather movies, which he could quote almost verbatim and having read the book several times, give you the back story to scenes and characters.

Rick is now reunited with his mom and dad as well as older brothers Jim and Gary.  Survivors include his wife Patty, daughter Jessica (Craig) Steffek, son Joshua (Tina) Gallman and grandkids Jacob and Elisabeth, sisters Carol, Rosann, Brenda, brother Ron and many good friends.

A visitation with the family will be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall on Saturday October 14th, 2023, from 10 A.M. until noon. A full obituary will be available on the funeral home’s website.

Thought for Richard “Rick” Alan Weber

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of Rick.
I spent many years hunting with Jim, Gary and Rick back in 70’s up in the Marshfield area.
    They are all sadly missed
