Rex Sattler, one day short of his 60th birthday, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer, with Nicole Sims by his side.
Rex was a lifelong resident of Kenosha County.
Born on April 19, 1960 to Dr Chester and Mary Sattler. Rex attended St Joseph High School, Gateway Technical College and University of Wisconsin – Parkside.
He started his career with Northwestern Mutual Life as an insurance agent. He realized that he had a passion for home repair and painting and started his own company pursuing that passion for friends and clients.
Rex had a love for all sports. For many years he played softball in the Kenosha summer leagues until the knees said no more! He then picked up the golf clubs and became an accomplished player enjoying league play. In winter months you could find Rex shooting a mean game of pool, winning quite a few trophies along the way. Oh, did he mention that da Bears and Cubbies are the best. Spite living in Wisconsin, he never wavered from supporting the Bears and Cubs just like his father. Rex enjoyed working with wood and built several projects for friends and family. He was a quiet generous man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Rex is his partner Nicole Sims, his brother Rick (Kathy Casey), nephew Brian Sattler, niece Kristen McMahan and their families; all from Texas. Uncle Arnold Sattler MD Avon, SD. A memorial service for Rex will be held later this year when permitted. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Hospice Alliance
